Field of work: trade, tourism and catering

Length of education: 3 years

This profile was developed at the level of high school education. Training lasts for three years after the completion of primary education. By selecting this profile, students will gain knowledge and skills in all segments of the hospitality business such as:

• principles of proper nutrition and their practical application;
• necessary food, with the knowledge of all their properties,  theoretical as well as practical;
• ways of processing and storing foods and finished products;
• preparation of meals, drinks and beverages and their service;
• sanitary-hygienic conditions of work in the catering business units.

Practical training is done in the second and third grade with 11 classes a week in the catering business units with which our schools has a contract on cooperation. Block-teaching of 60 classes is conducted in the first grade and 150 classes in the second and third grade. In this way, our students are able to confirm all the theoretical knowledge from the professional subjects, and acquire knowledge and skills in all necessary areas of work.

After graduation, there is a possibility of employment in the municipality of Becej and wider (since for several years there has not been anyone with this profession reported in the Education Department for Employment), as well as further education.
