Our school, then and now

The history of Economic-trade school dates back to 1948, when it was founded as The State Trade Academy, the fourth school of that type in the region of Bačka.

Today, after six decades of existance, we are showing our new, contemporary face in an old-fashioned frame. And it is our intention to keep brushing it up in future, too. Presently, our classrooms are used by 850 students, attending 34 class groups, with teaching conducted in both Serbian and Hungarian language. Around a hundred teachers are in charge of teaching and education, and for all of their other needs, there are the administrative and maintenance staff.

At disposal of all students, there are several computer classrooms, training offices, a foregn language classroom as well as the cabinet for professional training of traders, waiters, chefs and confectioners. In addition to all of this, the school has its library of a substantial volume in both teaching languages and it also publishes the school paper.

So, what do we actually have to offer? In the field of economy, law and administration, in four year duration, we educate students in the profiles of business administrator (in Serbian and Hungarian language), financial administrator and insurance clerk (in Serbian language), as well as the good old profiles of economic technician (in Serbian and Hungarian language).
	To those who prefer three-year-education, we offer the field of trade, turism and catering industry and profiles of trader, chef and confectioner. Ah, yes, let’s not forget – we are also open for all kinds of additional training and reskilling in profiles of economic technician, trader, chef, waiter and confectioner. Anyone willing to have additional education is welcome!
